Frequently asked questions
What do I wear/bring to class?
A leotard, swimmers or active wear (no shoes). Fitted clothing allows us to better correct technique and posture. Don’t forget to bring your water bottle and have your hair tied back off your face.
What do I wear at competitions and where can I purchase these?
BJP physie leotards and competition active wear are all designed and produced by Danz Design. We hold a competition wear try-on day around March/April each year for you to try the samples on. Second hand leotards can be purchased from the club or via Facebook community groups.
Are competitions compulsory?
No, but we encourage all of our members to give it a go! Whether you’re a beginner or experienced physie girl, individual and team performances are a lot of fun, improve confidence and are an incredible part of our club spirit.
Is there a club uniform?
Yes! We have a range of optional club uniform pieces available to purchase.
How many classes are there each week?
You have the flexibility to choose whether you attend one or two classes each week, and your fees will be adjusted accordingly. We recommend attending two to make it easier to pick up the choreography and develop your technique, plus, classes are a lot of fun!
When can I start?
You can start physie at any time throughout the year. However, the beginning of the year is an ideal time to start classes as all routines are starting afresh, so everyone will be learning the new routines together.
Can we come for a free trial?
Yes. We offer a free trial to all new members. Just send us an email and we will provide you with all the necessary information.
What costs are involved
Classes are as little as $10 each and you can choose whether to participate in one or two classes per week. There is a BJP registration fee and a small club registration fee. Discounts are also available for annual payment. Please contact us to request a Fee Schedule.
